Age Limit for the Post Code nos. 21 to 25: The candidates having the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years as on 1st July 2015 can apply. However, there will be upper age relaxation of 8 years for the candidates who have been on duty as Home Guard for the minimum duration of 360 days within a period of two years and who is still continuing his service as Home Guard.
Age Limit for the Post Code no. 26: The candidates having the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 33 years as on 1st July 2015 can apply for the post mention under Post Code no. 26.

Stages of Selection Process: The candidates will have to pass through four stages in order to get an appointment for the desired post mentioned in the Telangana Police Recruitment 2016 notification. The stages of the selection process will be as follow:
- Preliminary Written Test: All applicants have to appeared in the OMR based written exam. The candidates, who successfully secured minimum marks in the preliminary test, will be qualified for the next phase of selection process. The minimum marks for OCs, BCs, and SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen will be 40%, 35%, and 30% respectively.
- Physical Measurements Test (PMT): The aspirants qualified in the preliminary written test have to undergo physical Measurements Test as described in the official notification.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The aspirants who qualified in the PMT will be required to undergo the Physical Efficiency Tests like Race, Long Jump, Shot Put, and High Jump. The male candidates must have to qualify in any of three events our of five whereas female candidates must have to qualify in any of 2 events out of 3 as given in the official notification.
