State Selection Board, Odisha has released a notification for recruitment of 1625 posts of Lecturers in the state. The candidates can submit online application only for the SSB Odisha Recruitment 2016 for teacher posts before the last date. State Selection Board, Department of Higher Education is a statutory body under Education & Youth Services Department set up by Government of Odisha for carrying out the selection of eligible candidates against the sanctioned direct payment posts in the State Cadre in government and aided schools of the State.
SSB Odisha Lecturer Recruitment 2016 Details
The eligible candidates can submit an online application for recruitment of 1625 posts of Lecturers (DP Posts) trough online mode only and other modes of submission of applications will not be accepted. The online application is already starting and the last date for online applications will be 15th February 2016 till 23:59 PM.

Age Limits: The candidates belonging to the general category having age between 21 years to 42 years as on 1st October 2015 are eligible to submit an online application. However, upper age limit prescribed here is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, SEBC, Women, Ex-Servicemen and 10 years for the PwD candidates, whose disability is not less than 40%.
Educational Qualification: The candidates having Master’s Degree in concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade with a Second Class in Bachelor’s Degree can apply for these teaching jobs.
While candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwDs having Master’s Degree in concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 50% marks or its equivalent grade with a Second Class in Bachelor’s Degree can apply for these teaching jobs.
Pay Scale: The candidates, who will be selected for the lecturer posts will get the pay scale of Rs.9300/- to 34800- carrying a grade pay of Rs.4600/-(PB-II) as per ORSP Rule.
Selection Procedure: The selection of candidates for lecturer posts will be based on Written Test, Educational Career, and Viva-Voce Test.
Application Fee: The candidates belonging to Unreserved Category have to pay a non-refundable Rs.500/- as an application fee whereas Rs.200/- for the Reserved Category candidates. The candidates have to deposit the application fee through online payment gateway of State Bank of India using Internet Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card at the time of submission of online application.
